How can I upload my pictures?

Prepare your pictures on your local computer and log-in into your myDan account .
Go to the "myDan / my Pictures" section of our website. This is the overview page for your personal pictures.

Use the "upload picture" link to go to the upload form.
Now enter all needed information and browse your local machine for the picture. After you saved the data, the file will be uploaded and the data is checked.

If the input has no error, the overview page will be displayed. The picture is visible and the thumbnail has been generated by our system.

You can now maintain your uploaded picture.

What properties must the pictures have to be uploaded?

The system only accepts pictures in JPG format. They must be smaller than 1000 x 1000 pixels.
For quality settings you should usa apx. 60% or "good".

If you need to resize your pictures and are searching for software, we can recomment Adobe Photoshop Elements or the free online Photoshop.com website.

Why do I need to enter more information about the pictures?

Of course you know where you took the picture. But how about us? Tell us more!

Also you need to agree to the copyright statement, before the picture is accepted.

What are genres for?

If 100 myDan members upload 5 pictures each, we have 500 pictures. To sort and find them, we invent the "genres".

Just check the checkboxes at the genres the picture matches.

Note: a group of people on the slope has the genres "skiing" and "people".

Why can't I upload pictures for tours?

You can only upload pictures to tours you have taken part.

Pictures can only be uploaded at the day after the tour has started.

Why should I rate and comment pictures?

The myDan family is a great community growing day by day. Sharing pictures helps to make this community attractive.

By rating and commenting picture of other members, you award good pictures and tell them to post more interesting stuff.
It's no problem to rate a picture bad - if the picture is really bad and has nothing interesting. This also helps the author for future uploads.

The comment explains your rating and tells your oppinion. This helps the photographer and also makes the community allive.
Note: the comment must be at least 50 characters long.

How can I rate and comment pictures?

You must be logged-in into your myDan account to rate and comment pictures.

Choose the picture you want to rate and comment. Right under the picture is a tab called "Members comments".
Now rate the picture and enter a comment (at least 50 characters).
After saving the input the result and all comments are displayed.

Why can't I rate my own pictures?

What are bonus pictures for?

Morningstarskitours is rewarding the myDan members. One way to do this is by giving you more picture space to upload your great pictures to our community.

The so called bonus pictures are added to your free pictures, that every member has. (Additional you will get more picture space by taking part on a tour.)

Here are some examples, how you can get these rewards:

• Reporting bugs: 1-3 bonus pics
• Suggesting new website features: 1-5 bonus pics
• Gaining a new member: 5 bonus pics.

Why are pictures "locked"?

If pictures or additional information have critical or offending content, the admin can "lock" a picture. In this case the picture is not visible to the public any more.

Please check and change the picture / detailled data.

After you saved the data the admin will review the picture and "unlock" it. (Please ollow apx. 1-2 weeks for this.)
