The travel

Other than Rome, Skiman and Lynn have spent more time in Paris than any other European city. And that has been a great blessing. We have taken three ski groups there and we have found ourselves there on several summer scouting trips. We even celebrated our 25th and 30th wedding anniverseries there. (Skiman scored big points for that!)

Paris is a place to which you can NEVER go too often! The art, the musuems, the food, the wine, the buildings: it is stupendous. Throw in a Fat Tire Paris bike tour to Versailles and a dinner cruise down the Seine River.... Well: it is unbeatable for ambiance and energy.

We are using the BEST hotel we have found in Paris. Four star in quality and located literally a one minute walk from the Eiffel Tower, it is as good as it gets location-wise. You can meander to all the major sites of Paris on foot from our hotel! YOU can experience what Lynn wrote of on the previous page. Put yourself in this Paris picture. You’ll be glad you did.

THE PLAN: We fly into Paris from the U.S, arriving @8am. We transfer to our hotel, the Mercure Eiffel, which is a croissant’s throw away from the Eiffel. You will have three full days and nights to explore and enjoy this capital of Europe.

At the end of the Paris tour, we will transfer to the high speed TGV train station in Paris for a 100 + mph ride on one of the coolest trains in the world. We will take the TGV to Lausanne, Switzerland. From there, we will take a private charter bus for the one hour shuttle to Verbier, Switzerland, where your ski week begins. What can you do in Paris? Now THAT is a real open-ended question! Reread Lynn’s dream day of page one as a good starting place. There are literally hundreds of possibilities.As the tour gets closer, we will be sharing a lot of suggestions and ideas with all of the tour participants. The Hotel

Mercure Eiffel Hotel    

The Mercure Eiffel is a gorgeous four-star hotel that could NOT be better located. It is literally a one minute walk to the Eiffel Tower from your front door! We have used this property for 3 of our Paris excursions and would use no other. It offers spacious rooms (a rarity in Paris), great service, and the perfect location.

Roommate note

Many single people want double occupancy but are signing up solo for the tour. We will attempt to assign you a same-sex room mate who is in the same situation, at your request.While we will do our best to match you with a room mate, it must be understood that anyone signing up as a single is responsible for the single supplement unless a room mate is found. All cancellation charges and other provisions of the booking agreement would still apply.

Minimum number of participants

If number of participants falls below 10, there MAY be an added charge of $ 0.00 per person per tour. This is not anticipated but it is a condition of the tour.
